Bifunkal is Hershyl Edwards (drums, vocal bass, loops, vox) and Jesse Crydeman (guitar, loops, vox). Hershyl is a unique bird, in that he sings the bass lines (into an octave pedal) while playing drums. Sometimes he even loops the vocal bass, and then sings--all while playing drums.
